23 May In Freemasonry In Manchester Manchester Masons
Freemasons’ Support For Manchester Bomb
(Portuguese Freemasons' Support For Manchester Bomb)
Freemasons in East Lancashire will have woken up on the morning of the 23rd May to hear the tragic news of the terrorist attack on Manchester, the city which has and always will be, the heart and historic home of our Province. There will be a desire in the coming days and weeks to want to do something to demonstrate our support and contribute in some way.
With that in mind, the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Sir David Trippier has decided that our own East Lancashire Masonic Charity should be the focal point of any Masonic giving, which in due course will then be directed to the most appropriate cause for those affected. I am pleased to advise that, before 8am today, our friends in West Lancashire had already pledged a donation of £10,000. We have matched that and will now seek to utilise our own disaster fund to further add to that amount.
We are already being inundated with queries from our members who wish to also show their support. If you would like to donate to the fund we are coordinating, the details are:
Send financial donations to Hewlett Court with cheques made payable to ELMC to:
FAO Julie Ward Hewlett Court Retirement Home Newcombe Road, Ramsbottom, Bury, BL0 9XJ
Or alternatively pay directly into East Lancashire Masonic Charity:
Account Number 88503372 Sort Code 01-10-01
Please specify that the donation is for The Manchester Bomb Appeal with your communication or with your payment.
You can email: email@example.com or telephone: 01204 887531.
You can also contact your local District Charity Steward, or the Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Ken Davies: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 07050 283012.
Whilst expressing our support through our principles of charity, it goes without saying that our thoughts and prayers are equally important and will remain with the families of those who have lost loved ones or have been affected in any way by this tragic incident.
#SOLIDARIEDADE com as vítimas desta tragédia.
