One of the most well known pieces of Masonic art is entitled "From Darkness to Light." The prints were designed to be given to a new Mason for him to document his time in the fraternity, specifically the York Rite.
The piece is replete with symbolism that traces the degree work from Entered Apprentice to the Order of the Temple in Commandery.
The print appears to originate with the Pettibone Manufacturing Company, of Cincinatti, OH in 1887.
Pettibone was a manufacturer of regalia and fraternal supplies.
