Freemasonry - Encouraging news from The Province of Greece
On Saturday, September 26, after seven months of imposed closure of all Masonic Orders within Greek jurisdiction, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, after obtaining special dispensation two of the three Courts of the Province of Greece held emergency meetings following the rule of the Greek Government of nine people as a maximum number permissible to be gathered in the same place and following all the recommended hygiene rules.
At this meeting Brother Panagiotis Masaoutis was Elected and Installed as its Worshipful Master of the English-speaking Sectio Aurea Court No. 125, following the appointment and the investiture of the Officers, Brother Emmanuel Fosteris, PProvGGuard, delivered the lecture "Did Jean Francois Champollion step on the shoulders of giants?" .
A second meeting was conducted after s short break and Brother Stylianos Markouizos was Installed in the Chair of King Athelstan of the Greek-speaking Euclidean Court No. 129 and the meeting was concluded by the Court Secretary read out the lecture "Perfection Process of the Master Mason" prepared by RW Bro Konstantinos Politis, GCh, GCAG, PSGW, who was unable to attend due to the current pandemic.
The Installation ceremonies were carried out by W&Em Bro Eddie Kalogeropoulos, KAG, PGBannerB, PPrGSec, ProvGTreas, assisted by RW Bro Constantin Stephanides, KCAG, ProvGM, WBro Dimitrios Ntokos, KAG, ProvGSec and especially WBro Nikolaos Stylios, who traveled all the way from Belgium where he permanently resides for the meeting of the Sectio Aurea Court No. 125.
