This is an interview with the Grand Master of the Grande Loja Nacional Portuguesa (GLNP), a Masonic organization.

The GLNP seeks to recover Masonic tradition to build a more just and fraternal society.

The goal of Masonry is to improve individuals to create a more human and harmonious society.

The GLNP is not a secret organization, as secrecy was instituted by dictatorial and communist states.

The Grand Architect of the Universe is a symbolic representation of the universal concepts of Beauty, Strength, and Wisdom, and each Mason is free to interpret this concept.

The GLNP is not a dogmatic organization and does not give a name to the Grand Architect of the Universe.

The GLNP is not a religion, and many religious leaders are also Masons.

The GLNP has had frictions with the Catholic Church, but these have mostly dissipated.

The Masonic principles of human rights and secular education have been criticized by some religious leaders, but they are essential for creating a contemporary and European society.
