North Wales Freemasons' Generosity Gallops into Clwyd Special Riding Centre

North Wales Freemasons Generously Contribute £10,000 to Clwyd Special Riding Centre for Disabled Individuals

In a philanthropic gesture, North Wales Freemasons have donated a substantial £10,000 to the Clwyd Special Riding Centre (CSRC) in Llanfynydd, Flintshire.

This specialist center is dedicated to providing riding opportunities for people with disabilities, offering state-of-the-art facilities to support equine-based activities for individuals of all ages dealing with various disabilities.

The generous contribution was made in collaboration with the Masonic Charitable Foundation, an organization funded by Freemasons, their families, and friends from across England and Wales.

Freemasonry stands out as one of the largest charitable contributors in the country, having contributed over £51.1 million to deserving causes in 2020 alone.

CSRC is efficiently managed by a devoted team of experienced staff, overseen by a board of trustees.

The center receives additional support from a large group of passionate volunteers and a dedicated team of Riding for the Disabled (RDA) approved horses and ponies.

Established in 1982, CSRC holds approval as both an RDA and British Horse Society (BHS) Centre.

John Hoult, the head of North Wales Freemasons, personally visited the center to experience firsthand its exceptional facilities, including an innovative robotic horse used for rider training and assessment.

Jane Sargeant, Operations Director at CSRC, expressed deep gratitude, stating, “I cannot tell you how thankful we are for this truly fantastic donation.

The support from North Wales Freemasons is priceless. Diolch yn fawr” (Thank you very much).

This contribution will undoubtedly enhance CSRC's mission to provide inclusive riding opportunities and equine therapy for individuals facing disabilities, showcasing the impactful role of Freemasonry in supporting essential community initiatives.
